Marine Information Center
The goal of marine information center is to raise public awareness about marine ecosystem, how is the importance of its conservation for our future, and involve public participation in help protection and conserve coral reefs. The center will be function as a place for learning, research, and education of marine ecosystem, especially coral reefs. It contain information about Indonesia’s marine biodiversity, climate change impacts on coral reefs, display corals skeleton, sea shells, preserve marine life, a digital screen for documentary videos, a small meeting room and office.
Located at Mengiat beach of The Nusa Dua, a wooden house center name’s Pondok Informasi Bahari was built in December 2016 by Ministry Marine Affair and Fisheries. Nusa Dua Reef Foundation is responsible to manage this center collaboration with Koperasi Yasa Segara Bengiat, Benoa Subdistrict, Badung Regency.
